A lot of people like the idea of putting themselves in situations that may or may not happen to them in real life. Whether it is a relationship drama, a power fantasy or an engaging adventure, there is a strong appeal to “what if I did this?” situations. A popular choose your own adventure mobile game called “Episode” has gained popularity since 2014 for providing this type of experience for players. What exactly is there to Episode though? Today we will be going over the game as a whole and who this experience is for.
The game starts with you creating your own character. You have options available to choose the look you want. These options include face, hair, eyes, nose, lips, and eyebrows. When creating your character, you can portray yourself or create a unique character altogether! After finishing creating the character you want, you are able to jump into a story. The game has many different stories available to you and you get a sense that the authors had a lot of fun creating these.
The game is focused on romance but there is plenty of room for creativity for the writers to build a story that they want to tell. If you are into romance, drama, you are going to be very happy with this! It’s really addictive..
Episode is a free to play game with in-app purchases available to players in the form of passes and gems. Tickets are what allow you to view the stories. Each story in Episode requires a pass and these are provided in sets of 3 every 4 hours. Gems are the game’s premium currency, these are used for outfits and certain choices during the story. How many gems are used for an outfit/story choice depends on what you are using it on. A lot of the times, the juicy story choices will require multiple gems for you to proceed in that direction the story is heading. There are quite a few good guides out there on how to get episode free gems, in case you are a bit limited on your spending 😉
The game has a very large platform with many users and content creators for the game active all the time. There is no ending to the game, only endings for each story. In such, Episode is a great experience for those who are looking for an interactive reading experience they are able to sink a lot of time into without feeling like they have to follow a set story with no choice in the matter. If this sounds like something up your alley, the game is available free to download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play store.
